Yesterday, I made a list of my top books of 2009, but the problem is that I read a lot of books this year that were really good, but were not actually published this year. So, here’s a list of some of my favorite books I read this year from 2008 or earlier:

Eifelheim by Michael Flynn

Horses Blow Up Dog City & Other Stories by Richard Butner

Chiggers by Hope Larson

  1. Wow. The only one of those that I’ve heard of was The Book Thief. Are most of these adult or young adult books? Just curious. :)

  2. Hi Angie: I think the majority are adult books, but they’re still good!

Some of the YA ones on the list are Pretty Monsters (an awesome short story collection!), Startled by His Furry Shorts, Chiggers (a graphic novel), Little Brother, Behind the Curtain and Book of a Thousand Days.
