A Recap and an Exciting Giveaway
Saturday was the big YA-Palooza event at the Clinton Book Shop here in Clinton, NJ. It was a blast. There was fun, food and plenty of picture taking. Here’s author Amy Holder taking a picture of me while I take a picture of her: I got to catch up with some author friends of mine, and we all learned a lot about each other thanks to the author trivia game we played. I think the audience had a fun time guessing as well. I managed to stump them with a few of my author facts. Though sadly, they knew right away that I was the author who got a hideous perm in the sixth grade and nearly drove into a tree when learning to drive. In my defense, it was a small tree and learning to drive on an old stick shift BMW is less than ideal. All our guessers got to win some...
Win Some Books
As usual, I am behind on getting the word out on these wonderful giveaways, but fear not there is still time to get your name in the metaphorical hat for your chance to win these prizes. Popular is a prize in both contests, but even if you already have a copy you should check out these giveaways since there’s some other fun books up for grabs. Enter by the end of the month to win a signed copy of Popular by yours truly or a copy of the fun zombie book Bad Taste in Boys by Carrie Harris from The Class of 2K11. This is a fabulous group of debut authors that I am proud to be a part of. Stay tuned because we are coming up on 11/11 and our super, big, deluxe end of the year giveaway. Speaking of debut authors, Terry Lynn Johnson is the author of the debut novel...
Author Copies
I feel a little bit bad for putting my local postal clerk to work hefting a 20-pound box of books to the counter on tax day no less, but it’s hard to feel too bad when I am now the proud owner of a whole box full of copies of my novel. Sure, most of these author copies are already earmarked for various giveaways, and will not be in my possession for very long, but it’s still nice to see, and of course if you want to try to win one of the books from this box, there are a few different opportunities on my giveaways page. I also want to tip you off to another giveaway, where you can win a copy of Popular. This one is being hosted by Apocalypsie, Jill Hathaway. In case you were wondering the Apocalypsies are a group of debut children’s and young...

I’m a guest over at 2K11 today
For those of you who enjoy watching me make a fool of myself on camera, I’m over at the Class of 2K11 today, where I have used precise scientific methods to draw this month’s lucky winners. There are paper airplanes involved. Speaking of making a fool of myself on camera, I’m planning on posting a video of all the outtakes from my book trailers. I know I make it look easy, but turning over pieces of paper is hard work. Trust me. So, stay tuned for...
