A busy week

At the start of this week I was down in Long Branch, NJ for the New Jersey Library Association’s annual conference. I was mostly wearing my day job library sales rep hat as opposed to my author hat, but it’s always nice to see some familiar library faces and meet some new ones. Among the non-library faces I got to see was that of fellow Elevensie and KidLit Authors Club member Keri Mikulski, who up until a few days ago had only been a friend in the virtual sense. Speaking of the virtual world, today I’m visiting (at least virtually) with the students over at Y.A. Love Blog. Click here to read their fun interview. Finally, tomorrow will be an exciting day. I’m headed up to Hudson, NY to participate in the annual Hudson Children’s Book...

It’s been a busy but fun week for me. It started off Sunday at the Hughes branch of the Eastern Monroe Public Library in Stroudsburg, PA where I gave a talk on my writing journey and read a little bit of Popular. Monday was another library talk this one at the Towanda Public Library in Towanda, PA. National Library Week kicks off this Sunday, and as part of this week-long celebration, I’ll be visiting some libraries to talk about my writing journey and books and such. First stop is the Hughes Library, part of the Eastern Monroe Public Library in Stroudsburg, PA. This is a library that is very near and dear to my heart since I worked there for several years, and still consider it a home away from home. I’ll be at the Hughes Library (or as some of the kids sometimes call it, the Huge Library) at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 10. So, if you’re in the area, please stop by. Then on Monday, I’ll be at the Towanda Public Library in Towanda, PA. Towanda is located in beautiful Bradford County, Pennsylvania, and the library is in a awesome old brick...
