Enjoy the Ride

Is it too late to make New Year’s resolutions? I’m still more or less keeping up with the ones I did make. I know, that’s not too impressive since we are still less than a month into the year, but I came up with one more that I think is worthy of being added to the list. It was a result of a conversation I had with my boyfriend over the weekend. In a roundabout way it has to do with Route 66 and some commentary that was included with the Cars DVD that related how years ago, road trips were as much about the trip as they were the destination. What’s in a name?

I took this during my travels last week. Actually, it was on St. Patrick’s Day appropriately enough. I would like to point out a few things in case they are not obvious from my somewhat grainy photo. This is a dump truck. It is not royal in any way that I can discern. It is also not green. I’m not even sure what royal green is. I mean, I’ve heard of royal blue, but royal green? I guess, though as names go, it beats Dumpy Brown, which would certainly be more appropriate.
